K&R Projects were contracted to deliver a large new extension and fully refurbished classrooms at the Music Department in Newquay Tretherras School.
The project included all works, ranging from conception, planning, construction, and design on behalf of the Educational Trust.
The project team dealt with the technical challenges relating to comprehensive fire mitigation and acoustic controls within a music environment.
Within the new building, there are new classrooms, plus seven individual soundproofed student practice rooms and a large performance space.
The Music Department is now a purpose-built facility with state-of-the-art music equipment, enabling students to experience the wonders of music tuition and practice in a fabulous setting.
